The game can be made pretty enough for it. I wouldn't be surprised, in fact I'd be more shocked if there weren't people who "play" Skyrim as a screenshot program exclusively. The first, if you're just talking about the screenshots posted everywhere, many (not all) use extremely taxing ENBs for the express purpose of making someplace gorgeous and then screencap there. But this still leaves the question: how do others have like 4k games that use JK's and a ton of other mods? Well, two things: Guess I was just trying for too much at once. (I recently installed Mythical Ages and am digging it so far.)ĮNBs are really only good for screenshots, and it's almost certainly the reason for your performance issues. Sorry for the wall of text, I appreciate any advice you can give. I get 160fps on Shadow of Mordor and 180fps on The Forest. SE is the ONLY game that I have framerate trouble with Wandering: 40-60 depending on desnity of NPCS and trees in area It doesn't matter how many texture mods I add, that doesn't seem to affect FPS, but I've noticed that whenever there are several NPCs loaded in, like 2-5, then my FPS dies.ĩ60 EVO SSD (Where everything is installed)ĮNB: Natural View Tamriel (NVT) + NAT Weathers But I see people running 60 frames with a decked out JK's Whiterun with 4k graphics and huge trees! But all I have is it and an ENB and I can't get close to 60.

Now that said, I only have that mod and an ENB running. So my issue is, with a vanilla Skyrim, I average 60 frames. I just sit here with my tail between my legs at 40 frames and 30 in towns. So I've been modding Skyrim SE for a while, and after hearing and seeing people rejoice over the performance incrase it offers!.
